Keygen graciously provided by JetMouse, detailed instructions with the Keygenfrom someone else. The instructions below are my own,

and worked perfectly on my older Streetpilot III.
You will need the MAP ID of 324 for the Keygen. Don't bother checking the included text files for it, trust me, its 324, I

promise.


After installing the DVD, I loaded the Mapsource program, which told me the maps were locked. Ignore that for now. Go to 'Help'

and choose 'Check for software updates'. Let it download and install whatever it wants. If your GPS doesn't have the option in

it's internal menus to display its 10 character unit ID (my streetpilot III did, but worked this way also), you will need to go

ahead and connect the GPS via serial cable or usb cable (whichever method you normally would to transfer the maps), and in the

Mapsource program under Utilities, select 'Get Unit Id':


Write this # down, and use it in the KeyGen (I used version 1.3 provided). Leave the GM XT line blank. On the Select Map Product

line, scroll down and choose 'custom', and enter 324 when prompted, then hit Generate. This is your 25 character unlock code!



THEN, go to start|program files|Garmin|UnlockWizard and run it. On the next screen, tell it that you have the 25 character unlock

code already.


On the next screen, tell it that you will type it in:


And finally, type in the 25 character code from the keygen. You're all set!
